Parks in Lidcombe

Lidcombe is home to beautiful parks that include ovals for playing sport and playgrounds for young children. The walkways provide ample space for a casual stroll throughout the park where one can take some time out to relax and reflect. The natural environment also provides great scenery for those budding photographers.

Below are a list of parks and ovals available in Lidcombe.

Phillips Park is located on Dalley and Nicholas Streets Lidcombe. The facilities include:

  • 3 sports fields used for soccer and cricket
  • Amenity buildings with kiosk, changing rooms and toilets
  • Floodlights for two fields
  • 2 children’s playgrounds
  • 1 ‘teenager’ playground
  • 2 cricket practice nets
  • Fitness equipment

Lidcombe Oval is located on Church Street Lidcombe. It is one of Sydney’s iconic suburban sportsgrounds. It was opened in 1933 and has been used for various sports throughout the years. Today the Oval is used by the Auburn Warriors Junior Rugby League Football Club in the winter season.

Facilities include:

  • Sporting oval used for rugby league and cycling
  • Grandstand with seating for 400 people
  • Public toilets
  • Amenity buildings with changing rooms and toilets

Wyatt Park is situated near Lidcombe Oval on Church Street. The facilities include:
  • 1 senior sports field
  • 1 junior sports field
  • Floodlight
  • Public toilets
  • Off-street parking.
